The leaves are falling more quickly and my jackets are getting longer. The nights are now frosty and it is hard to get out of bed in the cool and dark mornings. Dinners are hearty warming fare, such as the caramelized garlic tart I made last night.
My walk at lunch yesterday was beautiful. The sun was shining, the air crisp, and the foliage stunning.
I’m savouring the light and the leaves on the trees while they last and plan to spend as much time as I can in the country. Fall is so much prettier in forested glens or wide open spaces.
